Reimagining Stravinsky’s iconic score through the lens of the modern corporate world, the ballet enters the dark and surreal universe of Kastchei HQ, where power means possession and freedom comes at a price. Houston Thomas makes his Royal Winnipeg Ballet debut with Firebird, his first narrative ballet, premiering October 8th.

Houston Thomas is featured in Joffrey Ballet: The Next Movement, a new PBS documentary following five choreographers as they create new work for the Joffrey Ballet’s Winning Works program. The film follows Thomas through the process of creating The Return Studies II, capturing his rehearsals, creative process, and return to Chicago after more than a decade dancing professionally in Germany.
